Lab Scientist RNA Virology (m/f/d), full–time

Our research team is looking for a highly motivated

Lab Scientist RNA Virology (m/f/d), full–time

Your role:

  • Independent work in research projects to optimize our proprietary oncolytic virus (OV) platform for (pre–) clinical development
  • Evaluation and optimization of new concepts in OV-based cancer immunotherapies
  • Cloning and recovery of recombinant OVs by classical reverse genetic approaches
  • Characterization of newly generated OVs with molecular and cell biology tests, and validation of new test methods
  • Creation and processing of standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as project and study plans
  • Evaluation and documentation of results and data presentation in project teams
  • Support the BSL2 laboratory organization

 

 

Your qualification:

  • Master/diploma degree in biology, biochemistry or molecular medicine, professional experience in molecular virology of negative strand RNA viruses is an advantage
  • Good knowledge in mammalian cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques as well as recombinant DNA technology
  • Excellent self–organization, independent work in project teams
  • Reliability, commitment and communication skills
  • Very good English skills (international team)
  • Proficient use of MS‐Office

The base pay is composed of a market oriented excess payment and the respective amount according to the Austrian collective agreement (at least € 38.000 gross per year/full–time).
